Last Mondays OOTD

Don't hold this against me but i'm really struggling to blog each night so i'm going to be doing some bulk posts at the weekend and schedule the through out the week.

I know some people don't really like scheduled post but unless i tell you its scheduled how would you know?

I could tell you i wore this today and you'd have to believe me. Well i don't want to lie to you lovely lot.

Another lie i'm not going to tell you is about this dress, I HATE this dress.

Its a new one from ASDA and was only £3, but i'm really disappointed in it.

It actually looks better in the pictures than i remember it doing in real life.
Dress  ASDA Size 24 £3
The dress is a grey background with a pink and black leopard print design. I wore it with thick black tights and my boots fro Tesco.
One thing i do like is the buttons as i love all things button related. but the collar doesn't sit right and i just don't like it
I will be wearing this again, well at least 2 more times to get my moneys worth! LOL

I'm glad i only paid £3 for this dress and i can see why it was reduced so much.

This dress is also on the small size its a size 24, when i bought it i tried it on and it was on a Size 18's hanger and i was pleased as it felt a bit big when i got it home i  was gutted to notice it was a size 24.  I don't really care about dress size but it was a bit gutting.

you can read about the trying on here

Going back to what i said about value for money, i remember reading in a magazine years ago about how to value your clothes on a per wear basis.

Basically you divide how much an item cost by the number of times you've worn it.

For example you buy a dress for £100 (clearly its not me spending £100 on a frock)

You wear it once its a bit dear but if you can wear it 4 times it only £25 a wear and £25 for a posh frock is pretty good value right?!?!?!

My Jeans from New Look cost £11 and i have worn them 100's of times so they were practically free!

Love the justification of this!

I also like buying things in the sales as i will be more inclined to wear it and wear the item more often as if you've paid a lot for them you will want to save them for best!!!

Does anyone else share my logic! :)

OOTD Sunday

Today i went to a motorbike show in Saddleworth.

Its organised by a local Motorbike club and i know a couple of their members through my old slimming world group.

To be honest i never thought it'd be my cup of tea but the first one i went to 3 years ago was to help out on the slimming world stall promoting out group and i loved it,

Last year my friend who owns a sweet shop had a stall so i went down to say hello and then this year she also had a stall but to be honest i went more for the bikes.

They raise money for Guide dogs which i think it a fantastic charity and it is always a good day.

I decided to wear the orange dress i'd got from ASDA on Friday. when i wrote the post i said i thought it's work well for Autumn with brown tights and boots.

I could only find wooly brown tights so i went for Leggins instead, which worked well as they keep you feeling protected without the need to keep rearranging yourself.

I also dug out some brown boots from Primark. I normally only wear flats and while these have a pathetically small heel my legs are killing me now.
Dress ASDA £6 (sale) Size 24
Leggins - Sainsburys £5 Size 20
Boots Primark past season
I'm a sucker for buttons and i adore the cute gold buttons on the dress. The dress gas belt loops but no belt so i'm going to look out for a thin gold belt.

The bus i got to the bike show didn't stop in the village i was going to so i had to cut through a public foot path that i have only ever walk up before not down! i'd forgotten how steep it was. This is one of the flatter parts of it.
The handy dry stone wall provided the perfect resting place for self time shots.
The fallen leaves added to my Autumnal feel for the day.
Why do i always look unhappy and what am i doing with my leg. Although it was raining when i set off i didn't want to wear a waterproof coat (more fool me) i dug out my trusty asymmetric zipped coat from Tesco, kept me nice and Toasty even if it will have that aroma of wet dog coming from the wool for the next few days,
How have you spent your Sunday?

Do you want a post on the bike show?

ASDA ASDA ASDA

I am on the quest for black skirt, knee length, perfect for work but without being from the work wear aisle.

Someone on twitter @Eclectic_Gina to be precise suggested ASDA. i looked on line and spotted this one
Picture is from Here
We had a little trip to asda and i tried it on in a size 22. and while i liked it it felt a bit frumpy. i didn't take a picture of the top outside the skirt. ever though it looks too tight, it felt like it was going to fall down which is never a good look.

Skirt Size 22 ASDA  MODA £12
However my mum found a short length version in her size and bought it, its amazing that although its only about 2 inches shorted it made all the difference. When i went to ASDA's website to get the image it has been reduced to £8. so i think my mum is none too pleased. but she is going to go to ASDA gain for me this week and see if she can get me a short length one.

I did come home with 2 new frocks. i've seen a lot of people comment on the lack of size 24's in their local ASDA's but the one i went to had 24 in pretty much everything i looked at. however i really wish the G21 went to at least a 22. I loved loads of stuff in that range.

I was browsing the sale rail and i spotted this dress reduced to £3. it was on an 18's hanger and i thought it might be too small, trying it on and it felt a bit big but for £3 i can cope. it was only when i got home i realised it was a 24! eeek labels don't matter really but i went from feeling ecstatic that a size 18 was too big to feeling miserable that a size 24 is only a little bit big! oh well it was £3 who cares!

Another dress same situation, this one was £6 and again on an 18's hanger but is a 24. |I reck i'm 22 in ASDA and this orange dress only just fits, although it is clearly a summer dress i think with brown tights and boots it will work for Autumn as well

It was strange weather this morning, sunny but cold so i went with the old faithful jeans, i dread the day these wear out.

NOTD -Pink Sunday

I gave twitter the option to choose my nail colour on Sunday, the first (and only) reply i got was from Amy aka @Smeeeff. who screamed it had to be PINK!

Who was i to deny a girl her choice.

Now anyone who has seen my instagram feed (see very bottom of blog) will know i own a lot of nail varnish. a vast majority of that is pink!

I went with George at ASDA Trick No 39.

Its a lovely shade of pink, i however forgot to take a picture of it when it was done and as i am too impatient to do a topcoat it had chipped by the time i did take a picture. Asda nail polish seems to be a mix bag some last other chip. if your after a pretty pink for cheap (now I've had this for a while but i think they are RRP £1.50) its well worth it.

Later on Sunday night i noticed Amy had done a post called PINK SUNDAY she really does like pink and it is a lovely post as is the rest of her blog go and have a read xxx

OOTD Sunday - Sunshine on a Rainy Day

A few weeks ago i got some shorts from ASDA, i really wasn't sure about them.

What didn't help was my mum burst out laughing when i tried them on.

But i saw Rachel wearing them in one of her recent posts and she looks amazing in them so i decided to keep them and as it was sunny this morning i decided to wear them

How cute is the print.
The background colour is slightly off white so wasn't sure what top to wear with them, as we weren't going out anywhere i went for a very casual top from H&M a couple of years ago.
Top H&M - Past Season Size L
Shorts ASDA £4 - Size 24

From behind, the don't looks as bad as i'd expected

A close up- i love this print

Have you worn something you own that you had consigned to the back of a wardrobe because of another blogger?

OOTD Wednesday

It was still feeling a little wintry so i dug out another winter staple.

A pink flowery dress from ASDA, worn with a trusty pair of Leggins from Next and my new Tesco Boots.

I've also dug out my "Autumn" coat. Which is a Regatta one that i got from Matalan last year. I was looking for a Green, Blue or Brown on in the same style but i couldn't find on that was just right and when i saw this one its exactly what i was looking for. i love the colour but i feel a bit self concious wearing it.

Dress Size 20 ASDA
Leggins Size 18 Next £9

OOTD Monday

Back to work today, i've been wearing the same few outfits for weeks.

Time to dig out some other things to wear. I have so many clothes i need to start shopping in my wardrobe.

As it's getting colder I'm going to try and sort out my wardrobe at some point.

Dress - Primark £10 size 20
Cardie ASDA Size 16
Leggins Next £9 Size 18
Boots Primark
I wore my Primark Owl print dress, with a Blue Cardie from Asda, the Trusty Next Leggins and Boots from Primark
 Gotta love the Owls
A really bad shot of my boots, these are comfy but are really strange to walk in, they feel soft almost like Jelly shoes.

OOTD Saturday

Saturday - I'm still wearing dresses on the weekend.
I am also trying to take pictures using the self timer. I don't seem to have any surface at the right hight to get a decent shot
I've got my moneys worth out of this £6 dress, I think I've worn it 3 or 4 times already

Trip to Asda Living

I had a little trip to ASDA Living with my mama, I do love ASDA living.

I got this G21 top, its really pretty and think it will be really good for a night out and i could wear it for work with a vest under it. for £4 it was a steal!
I also got this green multi print frock. I've liked this since they got them in, but hadn't got round to buying and it was only £6. Ignore the jeans round my ankles I couldn't be bother removing them!
I also got a bra for £4. 2 packs of pens £3, a pair of Ballet pumps, £5, a red top £5 (i didn't try this on as my mum handed it to me as I got to the till), PJ Bottoms £3.
Not bad for £30.

NOTD - 1st ever

I never ever thought i'd be blogging about clothes let alone cosmetics but as I have been painting my nails over the past couple of week I thought I might share a few of them.

It all started last week after the local village fair and i bought this Avon colour for £1! its a really pretty Coral colour.

I always have issues with Avon Colours, one coat isn't enough, 2 coats go splodgy! anyone have any tips, I'm pretty sure the 1st coat was dry before i did another.
Next up i got giddy with some glitter, there is a picture missing as my camera is now eating pictures! I did a Teal Nails Inc with a Teal glitter from a brand called Essence, not sure if its available in the UK, I got it from Spain when I went a few weeks ago.

Next i did this sparkly mint green number. The main colour is Barry M Mint Green with a topping of Essence number 10 Glorious Aquarius glitter

Next up, i went for a bright pink Nails Inc polish but it was a little too much for work so i topped it with an Asda shatter polish. I have a few Barry M crackles (black, pink and blue) but i'm really impressed with the Asda one.

And Finally for my colours, is a MUA shade 23, which is a Sage colour, this polish was £1  and i have to say I am really impressed. i painted these on Tuesday night and by the end of Wednesday I only had 2 small chips on my right hand. i didn't get time to take it off ant it has chipped a bit more today but to say i didn't put a top coat on (hardly ever do as get bored waiting for the colour to dry!)
To end the post I want to mention my favourite ever nail product, Avon Nail Experts 24K gold strength.
I am a marketing managers dream, i fall for gimmicks left right and centre, but i first tried this approx 2 years ago when it was on offer and now i buy at least 2 bottles every time it is on offer.

My nails have been weakend by having acrylics on and they don't really grow, but if i keep up the maintenance of wearing this they grow! You can can see how much we use it!

OOTD Tuesday

Evening all,

When I came home from work last night there was an Asda bag on my bed and in it was this dress, with 3 other things that are all going back (me no likey- i might post them) My mum had taken back the NEXT sale bargains i'd got her and spent my money one me.

I love this dress it was only £4.00 in the sale and its a beach dress i'm assuming. Its a really nice cotton dress with a drawstring waist which i covered with a belt to make it less beachy.
I love the length which was just right for work and bonus it has pockets. Listen up dress designers girls like pockets!
I'm also trying to wear more jewellrey for work, i own so much its a shame not to. its almost all cheapy so it's not like it matters if it gets ruined.

This bracelet is from Fund Grube in Fuerteventura, its mean to have special meaning or power to do with blood and healing. i can't remember what its called and not entirely sure what it's meant to do or if it will work but i think its really pretty and i love the colour

I almost always wear a ring, this one is from Accessorise. It is on my wedding finger and no i'm not married. i really struggle with rings as the chubby fingers and i get really bad eczema between my 3rd and 4th finger on my right hand.

What did you wear today you wouldn't normally?
