Friday Friday Friday
Yes it is November, Yes it has been Cold but sometimes something summery is the only thing that will do!
I got this top from Dorothy Perkins in Stoke on Trent when i went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago.
I struggle with tops as i have smallish boobs and big hips, so it feels too big round the shoulders and too tight round the middle.
I did a bit of tucking in, which since blogging fatshion i've become far more comfortable with.

Boohoo Blog Competition
Today I got an email about a blog competition, normally I ignore things
think this as I'm always convinced they are a scam. I don't know why today was different
but I decided to look on boohoo's website and see if I could find the
competition and I did.
boohoo.com is not a website I have ever looked on before and I'm pleasantly
surprised and very disappointed at the same time.
Some fab on trend items for really reasonable prices sadly they don't
cater for the plus size amongst us, I think the biggest size is an 18's,
however everything I clicked into seemed to stop at a size 16.
Now I really should have turned round and moved away but I didn't and I
searched and I’ve found loads of things I want, so I though sod it I'm entering
this competition even if all I can buy is shoes and handbags with my winnings,
what you might also like to read about is as part of the prize is a voucher to
share with blog readers. Now I only have 45 GFC followers so you might be in
with a chance! Haha I'm counting my chickens here but let’s think
positive!
I went with a fantasy outfit, something I could never get away with even
if they sold it in my size with the exception of the earrings.
Lindsey Bandage
Bodycon Dress £25 - I feel in love with this dress as soon as I
clicked on it, I adore the contrast between the black and the gold and how it
wrapped round the dress
- Dina Suedette Shoe Boot With Jewel And Stud Wedge £35 I am a flats girl at heart, I rarely do heels but these wedges spoke to me, and I really like boots with dresses
- Lorraine All Over Skull Print Waterfall Cardigan £15 I’m getting on a bit now, at the grand "old" age of 31, I need a cardie or a jacket. I was looking at blazers and a large number were under £20 but I love how fun this skull print jacket is.
- Mia Deco Chain Link Necklace £10 simple, I think this necklace style is the way to go with this dress; the dress has enough "bling" without being OTT
- Lilly Ornate Armour Ring £8 again this is something I could never wear myself but I love this ring and at £8 is amazing
- Millie Large Stud Earrings £4 again keeping it simple
All I need now is to win and for them to do some plus size lines and I’m
there!
Have you shopped at boohoo.com? What do you think?
I think I’ve got quite a bit for £97. I did see some cheaper heeled
boots that I really liked for £20 but as everything I liked was so reasonably
priced I decided to push the boat out and go for the "dearer" pair
and I still have money left
I was going to say what shall I get with my virtual £3 but I've just
noticed there is no free postage so I'm now 99p short on standard
delivery!
I'm not a total cheapskate but I do hate paying for delivery!
The AF Bloggers Budget Challenge - November
I've been following a blogged called Sera for a long time now, initially I followed her Slimming World blog but when she moved in to fashion I carried on following her.
For a while now she has been involved in fashion challenges. After a lovely chat on Twitter it was decided to do a Plus Size / Curvy edition. Now even as a "BIG" girl I don't know what the correct or polite terminology is.
The challenge is called
The jist is 4 bloggers one store one theme, all the clothes are from Clothing at Tesco -Party Range
As a massive fan of Tesco clothing I was very excited, I go to my local store a fair bit and just before the challenge I’d been to the Tesco Home store in Denton and seen lots of nice things. I'm not a massive fan of shopping on line and initially struggled finding things I’d seen in store available in my size (20/22) on line.
The "Theme" was Christmas Party Wear. I knew exactly which dress I wanted from the True Range. Black and with Lace - as a normal avoider of black i thought it'd be nice for a change.
We got given £30 so with my spare £12 I wanted to get shoes but the ones I liked or they weren't available in my size, so I did a bit of panic buying and got a jacket and a cardie from the sale area.
I also need to apologise for the photo quality my camera is eating memory cards so I'm using the internal memory.
The Dress was £18 from the True Range - this is a range I tend to avoid as I can just about fit into the standard F&F range but as this was a plus size challenge decided to run with it.
I love the dress, its really nice good quality material, the main dress is a thick Jersey and the lace is nice and stretchy so i don't feel restricted. Sadly i don't think the shape is very flattering on me.

I also got this Kimono style jacket, I didn't realise (even though the title should have told me) it was flowery I thought it was dotty. I just don't know how it is meant to look when its on.
Jacket Size 22 Tesco £7 |
I love the white waterfall front cardie they only had it in a 16 but it fits! I thought it might dress down the outfit so I could wear it for work. |
