Skipton August Bank Holiday Weekend 2012

I went to Skipton this weekend to stay in my Mums Caravan, just wanted to share a few photos from the weekend
The reason i was so drunk on Friday Night
We were home for 10PM snuggled up on the sofa in my Miffy PJ's
On Saturday we went to the Russian Tea Rooms  we've been meaning to go in for a while but never got round to it.

I love love love this place, i've always loved Russian Dolls and i work for a Russian Company so i thought i should embrace the tea rooms
What makes a good brew is a nice cup, i am a mug kinda girl as a rule but every now and again a proper cup and saucer is a must
We decided to have some cakes, above is Russian 'Potato' Cakes - small balls of Chocolate fudge cake. very yummy
We also had RTR Brownie with sour cherries, this has to be the nicest brownies i've ever had.
We also went for the Russian Caravan House Blend Tea. it was really nice. i would highly recommend this place if you are in Skipton.
We also had a trip to Costa where i had a Raspberry Iced tea, also very good.
After we'd got back from Leeds we had Tea in Wetherspoons then went for a quick walk round the caravan site.
The Lane up to the pub (sorry Hotel)
I love these small lanes off the main lane, this just leads to another caravan site
 The Pub (sorry Hotel)
 The anchor in the carpark
 a mushroom under the anchor
 and another

Look how blue the sky is! we got a bit drenched in Leeds
But it was nice enough to sit outside the pub for a nice pint of DC

BUNNY! this is a family tradition find a bunny when in Skipton.
I started when my Gran still had a dog, you only had to whisper bunny and she'd go mad (the dog not the gran)

This weekend

This weekend I’m going on a Hen do in Scotland for my friend’s sister. We are Camping in Mabie Forest.
Marthrown of Mabie - Forest weddings, woodland camping, bunkhouse, American Tipi and Mongolian Yurt accommodation in south west Scotland.
This is where we are going
She has hired an Iron Age Roundhouse and a Tipi, but most of us are taking tents.
While I don’t consider myself high maintenance I don’t really do camping!
So it will be an experience and a half! I am now the proud owner of a tent and I am really looking forward to it.
My list so far consists of
·         Tent
·         Sleeping bag
·         Sleeping mat
·         Pillow
·         Torch
·         Picnic blanket
·         Tooth brush / paste
·         Wet wipes
·         Loo roll
·         Eye shadow and mascara
·         Hay fever tablets
·         Pain killers
·         Bug spray
·         Socks
·         Underwear
·         Tent pegs
·         Waterproof coat
·         Trail shoes
·         Willies
·         Pumps
·         A pair of tracky bottoms
·         Green t-shirt (I’m on the green team)
·         Swimming costume (there is a hot tub)
·         Leggings

Am I missing anything?

Lytham Proms

It has been many moons since i was last in Blackpool, but what i've always loved is the shopping, i've never enjoyed theme parks / fairground rides / the sea. but i do love shops.

My last outstanding memory of my last trip to Blackpool, was the birthday girl going into primark the morning after the night before and buying slipper socks as her feet were so sore and walking round all day in them!

This time we were in Blackpool for something far more serious than a 30th or a Hen do, it involved no fancy dress costumes and hardly any alcohol!  Doesn't sound like my normal idea of fun but it was.

It was Lytham Proms, La Mama and me had seen an offer for Olly Murrs tickets and Hotel for £60 each in Going places window a while back and on a whim we booked, she discovered there was an 80's here and now concert on the friday so we decided to make a long weekend of it.

My life was greatly enhanced when i discovered Rick Astley was going to be on!

Oh how i do love our Rick, i know he might not be everyone's cup of tea and totally not my normal taste but i've loved him since i was 6 years old and i announced he was my biggest fan!

Pat Sharp, gets the party started
 Supercool Keyboard dude
 Toyah
 Carol Decker
Ben From Curiosity Killed the Cat - he was tres pants!
The Real Thing - totes amaze, i would pay to see a full concert of these dudes
 Belinda No Close Ups Carlise
The main man himself - RICK

Banarama were also on but we left after rick!

Really want to go and see him again, need to see if i can get some tickets when i've been paid

Do you have an 60/70/80/90's crush you still adore (please delete as applicatble)

Weekend Away

Hi,

i've been away in Skipton this weekend, not Wifi and its been nice but missed blogging.

i have taken a few pictures i need to post and i've also got 3 lots of NOTD posts as well as OOTD posts and pictures of all the lovely things i've bought this weekend.

i'm going to try and do 2 big catch ups tomorrow night as well.

Next weekend i'm away at Lytham Proms Friday - Monday, that will be a busy wifi weekend as well.

I've also got a Hen Do in Scotland coming up 17th - 19th August and that place has no mobile phone reception so i doubt there will be wifi.

i'm aslo thinking about going to the Leeds Clothes swap 26th August, i need to find the link for this and check trains etc.

does anyone know if these kind of events are ever done in Manchester or at least Lancashire? I'm not far from Leeds.
